botanical vortex
With this work I would like to encourage a different perspective, to slow down, be mindful and look closer. In my vision the flowers are stripped of their vivid colours and now it is possible to perceive the flower itself a complex collection of patterns and mysteries gradually drawing you in to look closer and deeper.
I took this series of images at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney. Each year they plant a meadow and it is just glorious and so full of colour. I took a different approach and used a borrowed camera that had been converted to infrared. After this I decided to get my own camera converted!
